The Year of St. Joseph has end
but devotion to our patron continues

Pope Francis concluded the year with four teachings on St Joseph deliverd during his Wednesday General Audiences. The last catechesis was delivered one week after the year end on 15 December: - St. Joseph, man of silence.
Links to the previous three teachings are given below:
1st December 2021 - Saint Joseph: just man and husband of Mary
24th November 2021 - Saint Joseph in Salvation History
17th November 2021 - Saint Joseph and the environment in which he lived
Pope Francis said the aim of the Year of St. Joseph was to increase our love for this great saint, to encourage us to implore his intercession and to imitate his virtues and his zeal.
This is little doubt that St. Daniel Comboni would have delighted in the Year of St. Joseph. His spirituality is based on four pillars: The Pierced Heart of Christ the Good Shepherd, Love of the Cross, Mary and St. Joseph.
Comboni's devotion to St. Joseph is simple and profound. St. Joseph is the administrator, his treasurer, who intercedes for him in all financial situations. His trust in Divine Providence is manifested by trusting in the intercession of St. Joseph, since God himself entrusted to him the care of Mary and her son. In the same way, Comboni entrusts all his undertakings to St. Joseph. Pope Francis is asking us to do the same.

We need only ask St. Joseph for the grace of graces: our conversion,
Pope Francis encourages all of us to pray the following prayer to St. Joseph:
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.
Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage,
and defend us from every evil. Amen.
